Our son was visiting us in Great Leighs from Hertfordshire a few weeks ago. When he was leaving to go home his car front suspension spring had snapped. I phoned Chequers Motor Company the next morning and I spoke to Ford he said that they were very busy but they could fit us in.The car was recovered and repaired and we got it back 2 days later I would like to thank Ford and Henry for their help and for the excellent service.recieved.

I was nervous about buying a car as hadn’t driven for a long time but shouldn’t have worried. Ford was patient, understanding, gave me loads of good information and let me take the car out for a test drive with a friend to ensure I felt comfortable. Moved things around to fit me in that afternoon so that I could still do my long journey planned for the morning after. Amazingly helpful and did not expect them to make that possible. Following a phone call they held a car for me for 24hrs as I wasn’t able to come due to work commitments. Glad they did, the car was as described and after a no pressure ‘take your time’ look over the car and test drive was promptly snapped up. Ford even offered to collect me from the train station when I came to collect it the next week having just been serviced and with 12 months MOT. A very well set up family operation, much better/nicer than the usual “style over substance” dealers, would happily buy from them again. Special mention to Ford who was extremely helpful throughout. Such a great garage. Henry couldn’t have been more helpful. A few days before a big trip our motorhome indicator packed in and it unfortunately wasn’t just a case of changing the bulb. Henry helped us to source the right part and then made time to fit it for us. Very grateful for such a great service 😊
